ToggleTax ("the App") is a Shopify theme extension that adds a VAT toggle button to your storefront. This policy explains how the App handles data.

Data We Collect

ToggleTax operates entirely as a theme app extension. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from merchants or their customers. No backend servers are involved in the operation of the toggle feature.

Shopify Store Data

During installation, Shopify may share basic store information (shop domain, token) to facilitate app installation. This data is used solely to install the extension and is not retained beyond the installation process.

Customer Data

The App does not access, collect, or store any customer personal data. The VAT toggle preference is stored locally in the customer's browser session only.

Cookies & Local Storage

The App may use browser session storage to remember a customer's VAT toggle preference during their visit. No tracking cookies are used.

GDPR Compliance

ToggleTax complies with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks:

• customers/data_request: No customer data is stored.
• customers/redact: No customer data to redact.
• shop/redact: Shop data is removed upon uninstallation.

Third Parties

ToggleTax does not share any data with third parties.
